Helping Kids Overcome Water Fears
Gradually expose your child to water.
Visit your local swimming pool ask them to sit on the side of the pool and begin by dipping their feet in.
Eventually encourage your child to stand in shallow water and then walk in shallow water.
Be patient, its normal for your child to be frightened the first time they encounter water.
Ensure that their time in the swimming pool fun.
Encourage your child to blow bubbles, sing songs and give them lots of praise.
